

Six Core Emotions +1
As a general rule, there are six core emotions that all other emotions are based off of: happy, sad, disgust, anger, fear, and surprise. While doing my author visits a student once asked about just a 'natural' emotion. How he felt most of the time. It is the straight line face, your baseline. So the characters in 'Henry and His Manners' all have seven emotions floating around in their bellies! And guess what? The word emotion has seven letters! I can't take credit for this re


Go Eden and Henry, go!
I stopped by the Quincy Public Library today to ask Judy, the librarian in the children's department, about some final decisions. She teared up as she read the pages of 'Henry and His Manners'. She didn't tear up because it is a sad book, she teared up because she has been a part of this journey from the beginning. I went to her with my original drawing of Eden and asked for her opinion. I am so thankful for all of the heartfelt support and words of wisdom! I love the comment
