Six Core Emotions +1

As a general rule, there are six core emotions that all other emotions are based off of: happy, sad, disgust, anger, fear, and surprise. While doing my author visits a student once asked about just a 'natural' emotion. How he felt most of the time. It is the straight line face, your baseline.
